Material Traces: Video, Sound and Drawing by Nikki Forrest – Mél Hogan nomorepotlucks
Nik Forrest is an interdisciplinary artist based in Montreal. Their experimental sound performances, videos and installations have been shown in Canada, the USA and Europe. Nik is a PhD student at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Society and Culture at Concordia University in Tio’tia:ke/Montreal, working accross the fields of gender studies, sound studies and studio art. Their recent exhibition Wild Intimacy: Light to Sound/ Sound to Light (Oboro Gallery, Montreal, Fall 2018) explored the ongoing animacy and productive potentials of sound and light to make worlds of and through fluid relations.
